About Varah Puran

वराह पुराण (हिंदी: वराह राण, वराह पुराण) हे हिंदू धर्मातील पुराणांच्या साहित्य प्रकारातील एक हिंदी पुस्तक आहे. हे नारायणन (विष्णू) ची स्तुती करणार्‍या वैष्णव साहित्यिक मंडळाशी संबंधित आहे, परंतु त्यात शिव आणि शक्ती (देवतांना ब्राह्मी, वैष्णवी आणि रौद्री म्हणतात) ची स्तुती करणारे आणि त्यांचे लक्ष केंद्रित करणारे अध्याय समाविष्ट आहेत.

मजकूर अनेक आवृत्त्यांमध्ये अस्तित्वात आहे आणि महत्त्वाचे भाग इतिहासात हरवले आहेत. असे मानले जाते की हे पुस्तक प्रथम 10 व्या आणि 12 व्या शतकात पूर्ण झाले होते आणि तेव्हापासून ते सतत सुधारित केले जात आहे. या पुस्तकातील उर्वरित हस्तलिखिते लिंगपुराणाइतकीच उल्लेखनीय आहेत, कारण त्यात पुराणाची अपेक्षित असलेली पाच वैशिष्ट्ये (पाच वैशिष्ट्ये) नाहीत. विद्वानांनी प्रश्न केला आहे की ही खरोखर एक मिथक आहे आणि विद्यमान हस्तलिखिते केवळ वैष्णव विधींवर लक्ष केंद्रित करणारी एक धार्मिक पुस्तिका आहे का आणि शिव, शक्ती आणि इतर देवतांची धर्मनिरपेक्षपणे स्तुती करणारे विभाग आहेत.
